Interesting Trip

Well, we had a brush with the news on our trip to the East coast. Our connecting train from DC to Trenton was Train number 168 on Saturday, which struck a “trespasser.”

As a kid we played on and around the tracks across the highway, … which didn’t have 100 mph Acela trains on it but … it seems highly likely it was suicide (and this is the season for that sort of thing).

We were delayed for 2 hours, we left on a Metra train at 4:30pm CST and got to Trenton at 8pm EST the next day.

Yea they call anyone who is killed by a train a ‘trespasser’ unless it was a totally honest accident (i.e. someone falls off the platform). I’ve also noticed the media tends to be very quiet about it. A train suicide almost always seems to get mentioned *off* the front pages and disappears very quickly. I suppose they fear giving it too much publicity would just encourage others.

I do not know if it’s just me or if perhaps everyone else experiencing problems with your blog.
It appears as though some of the written text in your
content are running off the screen. Can somebody else please comment and let me know if
this is happening to them too? This could be a problem with
my web browser because I’ve had this happen previously.

I’m not seeing that. I’m using Explorer 9 at work and various types of Firefox and Chrome at home.
