Always wondered about your view of personhood being defined by relations with other persons and whether that was from your orthodoxism or a holdover from your Taoist days. If personhood is defined by relationships, then a pregnant woman who wants an abortion who keeps her relationship to her fetus minimal, ensures there’s no person to exist. By ‘caring’ about abortion, it seems like more harm than good is done since it will ‘create’ persons far faster than it can save them.
