The Democrats and democracy.
This is exactly the kind of dishonest thing I’ve been complaining about.. Did you even read that? They’re criticizing Democrats for opposing a Republican plan to divide California’s electors — a transparent plan to get more Republican electoral votes. So why is this dishonest? Because there’s no mention that 48 of 50 states are winner-takes-all just like California. Dividing up a blue state without doing the same for an equally-sized red state or group of red states is obviously not going to happen. There’s nothing “antidemocratic” about that.
Your link also doesn’t mention that EVERY state in the Democratic primary is proportional, not winner-take-all. What a load of disingenuous garbage.
JA,
I only briefly scanned it.
To be honest, Ms Zigfeld is much more reliable when reporting on democracy and human rights abroad than domestically I’m finding.
But, it seems I’ll have to remember that.
