Abiogenic oil, the significance of which would imply that there might exist large untapped (deeper) oil reserves.
I seem to recall something about the Swiss drilling in a metor crator. The scientist in charge had a theory that oil was formed deep inside the earth and seeped up through cracks. He figured the impact would have generated the necessary cracks. I don’t believe they found anything though.
Mr Carter notices an ACORN expose.
Indeed, not noticed by Mr. Carter but interestingly was that this homemade ‘sting’ failed when it was attempted at 4 other locations, so we have proven that there will be people inclined to criminality in any large organization. At the moment, though, ACORN seems to have fewer proven criminals than the Republican Congressional Delegation. I suggest a swap.
Boonton,
I would suggest not using ACORN as a population. I suggest a lottery to replace Congress. Losers selected from a pool of eligible voters get to be Congresspersons for a term.
Oh, and abiogenesis of oil is not, I believe, the currently dominant theory.
