Sorry about the “no post” thing last night, my eldest daughter graduated from the 8th grade, which in this day and age is apparently an accomplishment that is noted ceremonially, i.e., we didn’t do that sort of thing when I was of that age.

an issue upon which people have no reasonable political recourse. ” is correct but that the Christian response to “having no recourse” is not violence. - Mr Murtha’s bridge to nowhere.

Eugenics OK in Sweden.
That word does not mean what you think it means. (I.e. Right or wrong, sex-selective abortion is not eugenics.)
JA,
You’re right. My mistake.
Wow!
Okay then.
Actually I think eugenics would apply. Eugenics doesn’t necessarily mean killing undesirables, it can also mean acting beforehand with selective breeding. Imagine a condom that filters out sperm carrying certain traits. That would be eugenics just as much as the old forced sterilization programs implemented in the 20’s.
What’s different, though, is that today we have bottom up eugenics rather than top down. Call it wikigenics if you wish. The old idea was that the gov’t or some other team of ‘experts’ would manage the population for overall improvement. Now we see cases where individuals persue their personal desires (to have a certain gender baby, to filter out a ‘gay gene’ or add sports ability) and the sum of these choices causes unplanned changes to population demographics
You won’t see any tears from me if Harold Honju Koh is the next SCOTUS nominee.
