You aren’t THAT gullible, are you?

  2. JewishAtheist says

    LOLOL. This guy nails you:

How The Right Wing Stovepipe Operates

    1. Conservative blogs just make something up. It doesn’t have to be an actual thing, just a loose collection of words.

    2. Other conservative blogs link to the original blog, egging it on by saying things like “someone ought to look into this” or “Hmmm” or “Odd”.

    3. Conservative leaning newspapers and magazines then collect the brain droppings of the previous 2 groups and begin puffing out their chests wondering why the story is being suppressed, or why the NY Times is “sitting on this”.

    4. Talk radio jumps in, bewildered that magazines and newspapers and the blogs are “all over this” and why the MSM is covering up.

    5. Then a moron like Major Garrett completely mainstreams it via Fox News and asks a stupid question at the daily White House press briefing.

Thanks to the American voters we now have a #6.

    6. Press secretary slaps down the stupid assertion, sensible people continue to run the government, the rest of us protected from the lunatics being anywhere near the levers of power.

    In case you’re confused, you’re in #2.

    JA,
What did Mr Ross make up?

  4. JewishAtheist says

    Mark,

Oh, it’s all framed in the form of a question, of course. As Jon Stewart mocked, they don’t say “Your mom’s a whore!” just “Is your Mom a whore? What, I’m just asking!”

But Mr. Ross insinuated that the Obama administration was singling out GOP donors to be shut down. That’s obviously false, because as Robert Gibbs pointed out, THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH WHICH DEALERSHIPS WERE CLOSED.

Also, it should be pretty obvious that car dealership owners would tend to be Republican, as it’s the perfect storm of anti-Democratic interests. Car dealers tend to be older, male, and white and have a vested interest in lower corporate taxes, lower environmental regulations, fewer labor laws, lower consumer protections, flat or regressive income taxes, and on and on and on. Obviously they’re going to donate to the GOP more.

This whole line of argument is just so dishonest.

  5. Mark says

    JA,
You’re such a hypocrite. The left can complain of Cheney ties to military contractors but the right cannot even ask if there is any air of inappropriate behavior by your sainted Obama.

Mr Ross actually suggests that Democrat donor dealers are closed down in a different proportion than GOP donors. Glenn Reynolds points out to a Mr Rattner the “car czar” or the guy from the Admin advising the SecTreas on automobile industry related matters is married to a chair of the DNC fund raising committee. But as per your advice “all questions” of any possibility of impropriety is off limits because its well infeasible that democrats would be involved in scandal.

It should be noted that Mr Reynolds also points out that it may all come to nothing, and I certainly concur. But you seem to suggest questioning “the One” is off limits and out of bounds.

Turnabout is fair play, it seems obvious your “whole line of argument is just so dishonest.”

I said nothing of the sort. I’m just asking for the right to exercise the tiniest amount of sanity.

Mr Ross actually suggests that Democrat donor dealers are closed down in a different proportion than GOP donors.

Then why does he only point out the GOP donors?

But as per your advice “all questions” of any possibility of impropriety is off limits because its well infeasible that democrats would be involved in scandal.

I said no such thing, Mark. Stop that.

But you seem to suggest questioning “the One” is off limits and out of bounds.

WTF? I’ve “questioned” Obama many times on my blog. AS YOU WELL KNOW, I’m not arguing that it’s never okay to question Obama… I’m just saying the “questions” should have some basis in reality.
