Good morning.
- Woo Hoo!
- Ecology as religion and social consequences at Evangelical Ecologist. Natural Law theory meets Christian ethics … or something like that.
- La Shawn Barber and music property rights and distribution considered.
- An example noted on declining population and birth rates discussed the obstetrician availability (or the lack) on islands off Japan. Another consequence, forgetting the rites to Baptize? “The words have been written down, but I don’t know the actions to go with them,” said Toriyama, whose own baptismal name is “Domingos”.
- Icon and Orthodoxy featured at nominally Catholic blog On the Square (the First Things blog). An excellent (with links) introduction to Icon.
- On banking and distribution, “foot traffic” at Chicago Boyz.
- Freedom by Guiliani.
- Jennifer’s opinion on the 12 best posts of the year.
- New Orleans and the public dole.
- Partisan blogger Mr Greenwald on Leiberman. It’s interesting to note that he remarks that Leiberman is “not a Democrat” … but doesn’t, of course, offer any criticism of the Democrats leaving him in their caucus. Principles only go so far. In another post, he notes the establishment (MSM) and the ties to the establishment candidates … which leave Edwards, Huckabee, and Paul out in the cold.
- I find the 59 mpg hard to believe (at highway speeds anyhow), it’s just doesn’t look anywhere near aerodynamic enough. The $2500 price tag is however, likely true. If sold in the US, at that price I don’t see how any “carbon emissions”=>”global warming” =>”a problem” would be driving anything else and not be considered a hypocrite.
- Following the car theme, the Clarity and it’s fuel cell in more detail.
- Siris notes some odd opinions about women in the past.
- Children and liturgy.
- Ann Rice, a pro-life catholic a letter and a reply, start here.
