Yet Another Reason

From David Schraub at The Debate Link a reason to stay in the Middle East:

I’ve scarcely seen anything as depressing as this little girl, a propaganda tool for murderous thugs, already brainwashed to kill herself for the sake of continued violence. It’s depraved. But it does show, in sickening detail, the character of the Hamas movement that all those who hope for peace–Israeli, Palestinian, and otherwise–are set up against.

Staying gives those in Iraq (and/or elsewhere in the Middle East) close examples of a better way. Leaving, yeilds the field to that.

    JA,
Well, that makes you, me and General Petraeus all thinking the same thing.

And golly, that’s what were doing too, we’re protecting those family members (and getting noticed for it too it seems).

Eh? You agree we are losing politically and that all the military success in the world won’t save Iraq?

I know that’s what we’re trying to do, but we’ve also directly killed a lot of them (collaterally) as well as being the ones who opened Pandora’s box to begin with.

What you apparently don’t know is that is also what we are doing (that is to say not killing family members).
